Woods ferry conservation area is part of the Florida water trail. Developed sites, pavilions and hot water bath houses. Only fault is the site sits up on a bluff and the boardwalk is about 1000 feet long

Not really a launch site - no vehicle access unless you can use handicapped card. This is the Woods Ferry River Camp, built by Suwannee River WMD and managed by Florida State Parks as part of the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail. Small screened platforms for sleeping, large state park picnic pavilion for cooking, potable water, flush toilets, hot showers. Usually a campground host. As of 2014 camping is free, but reservations recommended for weekends and holidays. http://www.floridastateparks.org/wilderness/ for more info. Facility is on a high bluff, you either tie up kayak to stairs at bottom or carry it up many, many steps. Carts are available at top of stairs to haul your gear to campsites.

I don't really like tieing up my big touring kayak at the bottom of the stairs, but that's what we always have done and have never had any problems. Take all your gear up to the campsite with you, though. Wagons are provided at the top of stairs for that purpose.
