Have had this yak for two seasons, and it is a fantastic value. I fish a 2,500 acre home water with lots of speedboat traffic. It handles whitecaps and wakes just fine. There are some things I would do differently. Some better mounting options would be a plus. I added hardware for an anchor trolley, but standard features like this and adjustable rod holders or smart ways to mount them would be desirable. There are few flat surfaces to take a rod mount or a fish locator.

The kayak is also not quick, and tends to rotate off a straight course due to its shorter length and broad width. Adjustable foot pegs would also be nice as the built-in divots are not ideal.

For the price though, it is rock solid. Other yaks in this price range may not be formed in the same watertight fashion, or may not be as durable. The thing is built like a tank, and I look forward to it being a part of the family armada indefinitely.

A great kayak for someone concerned about stability. If you are looking for speed look elsewhere or add on a trolling motor(I did). It is stable and I was able to stand and fly fish when the water was calm. A great beginner kayak or for someone on a budget.

The Lifetime Sport Fisher sit-on-top kayak is one of the most versatile, well-equipped recreational fishing platforms for its modest price range.

A one, or two person kayak, this boat comes supplied with many well-designed options: two paddles with side-rail clip-holders, a covered rear storage hatch, molded foot braces, three imbedded cup holders, two clip-on adjustable back braces, a side handle for righting, front and rear eyelets for anchor/tow lines, and multiple strategically placed cleats with a bow shock cord strap. Two fishing rod holders are installed on the stern and a third is located mid-way on the starboard side. The craft is flat-bottomed. tri-hulled Polyethylene, greatly contributing to its stability allowing for stand-up fly casting.

Overall, this kayak is an excellent choice for the beginner or intermediate river or lake fisherman or woman.
