I bought an A12T. It is a Basspro store brand boat. It is basically the same boat as the FS12T (fishing model) for $379 vs $479.

The FS12T has taken a bad rap for being thin and oilcanning. The A12T is the same boat, but molded out of much thicker plastic, feels like the Ocean Kayak material. You have to work pretty hard to deform it even a little. The boat fits a big guy (I'm 6'4" and 280) very well. It has a lot more hip room than an OK scrambler xt. Also, the foot wells don't stick out as far which you may like or dislike(the OKs rub my ankles badly). It tracks well and is very stable. Some people say the plastic molded seat is comfortable, but the hard plastic hurt my tender tush after a very short while. The backrest is great. Buy a decent seat or a closed cell pad to sit on! Big box stores are killing the little guy, so many slam box store branded boats. Try one yourself.

On the con side, there are a few shortcomings. It comes with nothing but scupper plugs, handles (fr,rear, side), and the rear bungees. The FS12T has a seat, flush rod holders, and a front rod holder. It is a little heavy (its weight is listed as the same as the FS12T, but it is considerably heavier). It isn't too bad, when compared with other rotomolded boats. There is almost NO access to storage inside. There is a 6" pop out hatch up front. That is it! Well, the larger front hatch on the FS12T has been reported to leak, so maybe it is just as well. Speaking of leaking, this heavier material doesn't have scupper hole or top/bottom weak spots or leaking. The bungee fitting DO leak, they are not sealed. The water picked up is insignificant. I can't tell whether the front pop off leaks. After flipping the boat over several times for a while testing reboarding, I had maybe a half a cup inside.

I am quite happy with this purchase.
