These "C" shaped paddle clips allow you to snap your paddle in place freeing your hands. They attach very easily with screw and well nuts. In theory, they work well, but in practice I found them very problematic. I kept bumping into them during paddling since they stick out a couple of inches. On certain boats maybe they can be placed better than in my situation. I would suggest the bungee type paddle holders instead.
