Submitted: 09-08-2005 by HappyRock The west river 180 (not the new 18!) may not be the best choice. Most issues with the boat have been dealt with in the revised WestRiver 18. The very little rocker makes this boat track so straight it can only be used on big water. The boats comfortable cruise speed (3.5-5.5mph) shows more resistance than other boats in its class. However, if you like to sprint on big water, it is very difficult to ever find the hull speed! If you like to keep up speeds above 6mph this is your boat.
