Submitted: 06-27-2005 by AndyLee I have previously owned a Manitou, which I sold because it was hard to turn. I now own a Necky Santa Cruz which is easier to turn and tracks as well as the Manitou. Over the past year I've paddled several recreational boats; Blackwater 11.2, Element 11.2, Jolt 101, America 13.5, Arcadia 12.5, Torrent. Today I tried the Manitou Sport in a Class I-II river and I'm totally impressed with the boat. The seat and rigging are comfy, the hatch is dry, the boat tracks better than any other I've tried in its class, and it turns better than any other in its class. With a skirt on you can heel this boat right over on its side and still feel stable. I like it a lot. |
