Submitted: 05-16-2005 by fl-waterman I've had this boat out in all kinds of conditions - chop, flat, surf. It surfs pretty well.
Surf - It's very easy to keep the nose from diving in. I made some drops with it that I didn't think I would make on some late takeoffs. It basically goes straight - the keel makes it very difficult to turn, so you're not going to be carving the face in this one.
Chop - doesn't handle it very well at all. It's like paddling a tub. Nose doesn't exactly cut through the water.
Flat - fun, but slow.
Overall - only real complaint is that the seat is very narrow. I don't consider myself a fat person w/ 11.3 % body fat, but the seat is uncomfortable even for me. Side handles would also be nice to make it easier for one person to handle. |
