Submitted: 12-23-2004 by jatg I recently switched from a conventional PFD which was always riding up due to the seatback interaction with the rear floatation of the PFD. I got a Lotus Designs Deepwater and I can't say enough good things about it. Mesh back is comfortable, never rides up, air on your back (better temperature control). Comfort is so good I don't rush to take it off when I get out of my kayak. At first it seems thick in the front, but you quickly get used to it. It could use more/bigger pockets, but still a great piece of equipment.
