Submitted: 12-05-2004 by Bill Nicolai I rented a demo Outer Island to do a multi-sport pentathlon. This boat is very fast and quite stable. Despite no great strength or skill I finished high in the kayak leg behind the guys paddling surf skis. I think I'll buy one as a high speed personal cruiser/race boat and even use it on two to three day tours. This is by far the finest feeling kayak I've ever paddled.
