Submitted: 11-09-1999 by KG As a newbie to kayaking I went all the way and bought the kevlar Caribou S (with skeg). It's sleek, tracks well, and turns great on the hard chine. At only 43 lbs. it loads easily on top of the car. You feel like one with this boat! Who needs a rudder!!! This is a performance craft. Drawbacks: Some space is sacrificed due to the low profile. In other words, you can't load as much in a Ferrari as you can in Ford, but boy can you feel the difference in the ride.
