Submitted: 09-02-2004 by JK I have a regular Khats, not the 'S' model. I am a very light paddler at 140 lbs. The Khats is definitely a performance kayak and more time consuming to put together than other Feathercraft. I don't necessarily disagree with anything anyone has written in review, but I do feel obligated to mention that the boat has a very bad habit of weathercocking, especially for lighter paddlers. It can be exhausting to paddle under some circumstances. Adding the skeg helps. Others in the Greenland Paddling community I have talked to report the same thing. Adding more weight in the rear helps the problem. It isn't as noticable when loaded.
