Submitted: 08-30-2004 by anchorman Some people say that you don't need this large a boat unless you are hunting moose. Personally, I take comfort in seeing the 6 inches + of freeboard I have we're fully loaded on a choppy lake. It rides the waves well from all angles and has great glide. My kevlar ultralight was a rental boat for a season so it has aluminum gunnels and built in skid plates (both ends).
