This is a great boat for a beginner. I was given a Swifty as a gift in March (love my family) and have enjoyed paddling this little boat all summer. GREAT stability - I've been able to convince several timid friends to try it. Easy to manuever in creeks and tight places, as well as in very shallow water. My only complaint is the tracking is rather poor - a paddling partner in his Manteo leaves me in the dust. Otherwise, this is a great little boat for short day trips and is easy to car top even for this short woman (5'2"). I highly recommend it for beginners or those interested in a recreational day boat. |
