The first time out I caught a 10 lb channel cat on a jig and the stability and ease of use of the Pungo made fighting the fish an easy chore. It rides high on the water, has some nice speed if you want it, and after using a boat with a rudder most of the time, its a pleasure not to have to deal with that. My only minor gripe, but not much of one, is that sometimes when I stop paddling, it veers slightly to the right. I'm already projecting on the next kayak, probably a Tarpon 160, or a Pungo 140, but this one will stay in the "fleet". Its a keeper, and I'm sure I'll enjoy its capabilities for some time to come. |
