Submitted: 11-11-2002 by rcasewst I have had my castaway for 7 mo now and generaly happy with it. I have paddled around the islands in bar harbor and on many flat lakes and rivers. It paddles efeiciently to a point then more effort just creates more wake. Tracking with a following sea is not so great either. but for the price and a little extra weight you get a pretty competent boat that can just keep up with the big boys (or fairly close)
