Submitted: 09-30-2002 by Peter_K Yes, the buckles slip when rolling or severely torquing the boat. I'm sure my technique could be better; I weigh 230 and am strong, but why should a backband slip. I use knots to back the buckles up. Other than the slippage it's great, but other than 40 pounds, I'm svelte.
