I've had my 16' Prospector with the Kev/Cap layup for many years. I've enjoyed it in level 2-3 whitewater and on many wilderness trips up to 7 days. It has carried all of my gear, and with my added "Teal" yoke it is a pleasure to portage. I have since replaced the ash trim with vinyl gunwhales. Nova Craft oil the gunwhales now, but my varnished ones dryrotted. An excellent value. JMG aka. scout It's only drawback is when it's empty in the wind with the high bow, stern and rocker. With gear, it's much better.
