Submitted: 09-12-2002 by Tig Poor design for sea kayaks. The pot metal back band adjuster buckles are weak, corrode in salt water, release under hard bracing and both models "roll" and allow one's back to hit the rear comaing when eskimo rolling. It's a bad design, too expensive and poorly contructed. Retrofitting makes one think about making your own, and you can make a better back and if you think about it and work at it.
