Submitted: 06-10-2002 by peter I purchased my Areius II (two-person) in the mid-'60s for around $450. I have gone kayak camping for up to two weeks, whitewatered on Category 2 streams (and less), and everything in between. It comfortably held myself, my wife and two children, 5 and 6... plus gear. Impossible to tip, fun to paddle (even all day), also great for just one person fishing. I'm 72 now, and will keep it forever!
