Submitted: 10-22-2001 by Wildwater I have the year 2000 model. I don't really think Dagger had yet decided to build a "real" sea kayak, yet. (Do they have one, now?). Anyway, the boat has rocker, so don't expect to go straight without good paddling form. Mine is in glass, and it is 55 pounds (light enough). I'm tired of people talking about the "cheesy" integral rudder (I think Dagger no longer uses these?). It works good in the wind and takes a good beating (this boat can be used in wide, semi-fast rivers - NO whitewater and few strainers, please). Good boat, but I ripped the seat out, kept the backband, and put in CLC's "Creature Comfort Seat." For those of you with lumbar problems, this is the answer. By the way, when WILL Dagger/Perception learn to design a seat? |
