Submitted: 07-17-2001 by Lee Wilder The Descender is a great river running and play boat from Whitesell canoes of Bryson City North Carolina. This canoe has fantastic secondary stability! You can lean this boat to the gunwale and not fear flipping. This boat handles big and technical water like a champ. Don't let the 13' length bother you, this boat is super maneuverable and pivots on a dime. I feel comfortable paddling in places I wouldn't want to go in other boats. These boats are custom built and super strong. If you're in the Nantahala/Ocoee region you'll notice all the Whitesells! Best canoe on the water. I'll give it a 10 plus!!
