I've had the Blackwater about a month now. i must say, i'm really happy with it. Most of my paddling has been on the rivers in Central Texas, especially the Blanco and the San Marcos. It's small enough to go about anywhere i want to explore but big enough to do some overnights. I also took it down to the Gulf Coast to play in the surf and had an absolute blast. Some big waves were coming and it was just a thrill ride.
One complaint so far, the seal bulkhead in the back leaks. haven't figure out where the water is coming from but it looks like i'll have to reseal it myself. i would have expect to do this in about a year, not new.
The price was right also, $500 plus tax.
