I bought the Tarpon 120 for my nephew to use. It had plenty of flat spaces for Scotty rodholders. The tracking was decent for a shorter 12 foot kayak and it tracked well. The initial stability was a little less than I like as was the secondary stability. I am not rating it over a 6 because of the stability. I am sure the stability is better with smaller paddlers. Also anything we put below deck seemed to get wet as there was always a cup of water that made its way into the hull somehow. Other than those issues it would make a good first kayak for someone just getting into the sport and looking for something that is easy to paddle.
