It is not the fastest, lightest, or easiest to paddle, but it is very close to being the best at hauling a huge load and living forever. We have used it for everything from slow water float trips with my wife, myself and three children aboard to class II white water. For someone looking for an extremely solid lager capacity canoe, the Discovery 169 is hard to beat.
