I purchase this reflector oven through Rutabaga's web site. Svante shares how to make your own with instructions on his web site, but save your time/effort and purchase his wonderfully made reflector oven - it is worth it. It folds flat and packs nicely into a Duluth pack & lets you bake when you camp. Look up reflector oven recipes online. Every time we use the reflecting oven as we camp with friends, who have not used one, they end up purchasing one for themselves. For best results, we usually use the oven first, as we get a roaring camp fire going (to get some good cooking coals). Just keep the oven and it's contents out of direct contact with flames. Don't rush the baking - the food will bake. You are camping, there is no hurry, and the food you are able to bake in the Svante Freden reflector oven will be worth the wait. As the baked item cools off we cook the rest of our meal. Our recent favorites are baked fruit cobblers, using peaches & berries that we had dehydrated. We just soak the dehydrated fruits overnight & use them in the cobbler recipe the next day.
