The Kaboat is essentially an inflatable square stern canoe. It is much more stable but a little slower. It is made almost exactly like a Zodiac sport boat - only narrower. The quality is nearly on par with our Zodiac and better in some ways. Very neat construction and good quality hardware. The air floor is as rigid as the one in our zodiac.
Not quite as pleasant to paddle as a canoe but the stability is amazing. I had both knees against the side pulling a stuck anchor - as hard as I could pull. The anchor finally broke loose and the boat did not tip. Try that in a canoe.
You cannot really row these sitting in the seat, you have to either kneel or sit on the bottom. We almost always use canoe paddles but rowing is faster. Kayak paddles drip a lot.
These are great camping boats. We love ours.
