I took it out on Lake St. Clair (MI) for my first paddle (I have only been on kayaks a couple of times over the years). It was easy to get in/out of, and it handled very well. It tracked easily, and I had no trouble maneuvering it at all. It felt very stable, too. I'm not worried about speed, as I just want to take it out on flatwater and slow rivers for leisurely trips. Taking it on a river trip next week, and I can't wait! This is a great starter boat for someone like me just getting into the sport.
