Submitted: 09-27-2011 by MW I own two vintage '89 Sea Lions. They're the best! I'm also a volunteer guide with a non-profit outdoor adventure group and have access to a wide range of much newer plastic and fiberglass boats, but I still paddle the group's Sea Lion when given a choice. I'm 6' and I find the Sea Lion is way more comfortable than other boats. I paddle in lots of rough water in the SF Bay (e.g. Raccoon Strait) and coastal waters (e.g. Bolinas). The Sea Lion is great in all sorts of water and weather. After 20+ years, my boats are still in excellent condition! Highly recommended.
