Finally, I can add my owner remarks for the Pungo. I am 49, 6'2", and 250. I love to fish and I love the water. My canoe is a 2 seater and I thought a Pungo kayak would be the answer. It was. When I fish I store my cooler behind the seat and push the tackle box forward towards the bow. My fish locator fits neatly behind me. Even with my older "football" back injuries I can fish comfortably for 5 hour stretches. As for speed...it's incredibly cool hearing kids say, "Gee Dad, kayaks are fast.", as I go whizzing past them. The Pungo is stable and fun. At the end of the day, the 50 pound kayak is an easy lift on top of my car. Enjoy your Pungo, and always wear your lifejacket. |
