I've put over 1000 miles of river on mine, mostly class II with a few stretches of III. A paddler will quickly learn what this boat likes, and how to keep it there. If you only want to run III+ whitewater, you should probably buy something else. If you are looking for a qualified heavy water river exploring boat, this fits the bill better than anything else I've seen.
