I have owned to Advanced Elements inflatables, one passenger and the 2 passenger Convertible in the last 2 years(bought new). Solid kayak in the water but there are issues.
First, they are very difficult to dry out. They say to put them out into the sun and that's it, not that simple. To get them completely dry, you must pull out all the tubes and the floor and lay in the sun. Then they have to be put back together straight, in the boat or the tubes will kink and you have to half inflate them and push on the tubes to get them straight. If the tubes and floor aren't put in properly the kayak won't paddle straight.
The other problem is the floor valve. I have pumped mine up full made sure the valve was closed, got out on the lake only to find the floor lost air and had to come back in and pump the floor up. They are portable, but you must get all the air out or they won't fit back into the bag they provide to carry it in. I have purchased 2 hard shell kayaks since and even though you need a rack for them, it is much easier for maintenance and they plastic kayaks are much quicker and you don't have to worry about putting them away wet.
