After purchasing a tandem I looked for an all river boat and bought mine in Boise, ID. What a great boat! I am 6' 220 lbs and the boat handles itself well in flat water, with the skeg down, and class 2 plus with it up.
However the dry bulkhead is another story, its not really dry, more like drippy. I have had over a liter of water in the dry compartment and discovered that the bulkhead leaks if you get any water in the boat. so a skirt (even in hot weather) is a must.
All in all, I would not trade my boat for all the tea in china. What a hoot!!! |
