What a delightful cottage country canoe! I've been test paddling one in goldenglass for a couple weeks and am going to buy it. For a "short" canoe it is incredibly efficient; has great glide. I'm used to royalex canoes and this canoe has better forward speed than royalex canoes over a foot longer. However, it won't accommodate large paddlers (max. load is around 400lbs.) nor would it be good for extended trips. It is not designed for this purpose. It is also a joy to solo. I have a kneeling thwart installed and you can heel it to the rail (has great final stability) and paddle it classic style and there's just enough rocker to carve nice turns; when you lean it the stems roll up out of the water nicely. The hull is a David Yost design; a variation on the Chestnut and Peterborough theme.
