I've have own many canoes and the Mad River Adventurer 14 really surprised me. The stability was much better than I ever imagined. I have a 11 year old son that sits in the middle seat and he is constantly moving around in the canoe, putting his feet over the side, wild casting for fish... everything a 11 year old is suppose to do at that age. The canoe never felt tippy.
I can not say enough about the seats! I felt like I was canoeing in a lounge chair the whole day. I have a bad lower back and after canoeing all day, I did not have any discomfort. I did have to go out and buy two new canoe paddles to fit the canoe better. It sits quite a bit lower to the water than my other canoes. I would buy this canoe again in a heart beat! |
