Great design! The boat in fiberglass is light enough, very fast, good surfer, and turns well on edge. A slightly leaky stern hatch cover and an easily-correctable rear bulkhead leak make the rating a 9. Otherwise it compares favorably with the best of the medium-volume boats out there. The finish has a few marks from an inexperienced or harried buffer, but I've seen others, all of which have been impeccably finished. The company is easy to deal with, very responsive to telephone inquiries, and keeps its promises. I've paddled the Q600 in high winds (25-35 mph) and moderate seas, and have been impressed by the secondary stability and ease of paddling. |
