My wife and I both have the 10XT, and use it easily for a weekend trip. big enough to carry gear and small enough to handle well (we also do a lot of backpacking so the gear we have is lightweight and compact). We have done some white-water up to Class III with a skirt(required). NOTE: If you do order a skirt make sure you have a side pull strap to release as the front is a stretch if upside down. The only downfall I have seen is no drain plug but that's an easy fix with an aftermarket plug.
