I purchased an OK Prowler Big Game from Mr. John at Coastal Paddler, Beaumont, TX yesterday: spent the night rigging it to my satisfaction: tossed it in the bay this morning under strong winds and heavy chop conditions: this is the most stable yak I have ever been in: even in heavy chop water did not come up the scupper holes nor over the sides of the yak, even when getting hit broadside. It takes a couple of strokes to get it up to speed, but once moving it tracks very well and does not weather vane much to my surprise.
It is not a fast yak, but it is oh so comfortable with a Crazy Creek air yak seat and it is so stable even under rough conditions that the trade off for speed seems a mute point if you are a yak fisherperson. I have fished repeatedly a Prowler 13, Heritage Redfish 12, OK Trident 11, OK Drifter, and Malibu Mini-X: this is my favorite fishing yak period. Did I mention this yak is STABLE
