Bought it this morning and took my daughter out... she used my 17 ft Chesapeake Light Craft, I tried out the new toy... I am happy with it, not impressed, but happy... Secondary (ability to lean) is a little disappointing, we won't take it out in COLD water... but we paddled 4 1/2-ish miles on the James River (S. Virginia) w/ an outgoing tide, fought it on the way up stream, loved it on the way back...
This is a great beginners ride, my daughter (12) can polish stability dexterity (she rolled the 17 CL!, I stayed dry:) ). So she'll use it in the late spring when H2O warms up, but I plan on playing with it again (weather permitting) on Sunday... why get my boat dirty?!? I gave the boat a 7, should be a 6 1/2... but I paid $200.00 for it, sooo.... |
