DeLorme is famous for inaccuracy, the inevitable result of making maps from aerial photos without ground confirmation. That isn't due to carelessness; even USGS can't drive every road. DeLorme routinely shows roads, though, that are impassable or off-limits. By the same token, for the same reason, they don't reliably distinguish between public and private boat launch sites. There's nothing wrong with a bit of uncertainty and adventure in planning, but don't be dismayed if you arrive to find the road on the map is a driveway and the boat ramp is in someone's back yard.
