Submitted: 07-23-2008 by KS My dad bought a fiberglass 17 foot Cruiser in the mid to late 70's. As of 2008, it has seen a lot of use and has scars to prove it. We bought it from a real expert and it came highly touted as being fast and easy to paddle. I have not found it to be that tippy. My only problem with it is that it is a bit heavy, but it more than makes up for it by the way it paddles - effortless and fast. A couple of friends borrowed it for a very large but amateur race about 20 years ago. They took first place. Last weekend they borrowed it again for the same race. Same results even though they are pushing 50 now. I would buy another one if they still made them.
