My friend and I have each had a Blast for the last 3 or 4 years. Its a good beginner boat. Tracks well in calm water and even performs surprisingly well in choppy water without a sprayskirt... and better with one. I've taken it out into some level II whitewater and it proved that it was only a recreational kayak. As others have noted, the seatback can be quite uncomfortable after 2+ hours but a little extra padding fixes it quick.
Overall, its a great little boat for the price, very durable and stable . BTW, I'm 6'1" and 180 lbs. I sit higher in the water than my friend who is 205 lbs. Just stay out of whitewater like the manufacturer recommends. |
