Submitted: 06-30-2008 by chuck08005 My e trex Legend cx leaked on a kayak trip and the batteries corroded. It is rated IPX7 which is 1 meter for 30 minutes. I contacted Garmin and their response was... "Thank you for contacting Garmin International. Our units are not 100% waterproof and we do not recommend you using them around water. The flat rate of repair for your unit is $125.00. If you would like for me to set up a repair, please send me the following information, and I will give you a return authorization number. Needless to say I am not real happy.
