Submitted: 06-06-2008 by Ken Kieffer The wife and I purchased a Tampico 135L and a Santee 116 Sport. Both very good boats. I did have some initial stability problems with the 135 but since this is my first Kayak and was my second time in the water, I'm sure it was my fault and not the boats. I took the 116 sport out by myself to take some pictures and "whow what a boat" talk about stable and almost as fast as my Tampico. Workmanship and fit of these are second to none. I have to add that I do not have any prior experience with kayaks. I now have about 20 hours on (couple of rolls, camera was home) these boats, and love them.
