Submitted: 05-24-2008 by Alex Bought my 16'8" Scanoe in 1985, and several fish, moose, deer, etc later it's not really any worse for wear. Used a Johnson 4hp for a lot of the trips, a lot of rivers and lakes, some run-ins with rocks, and it's still going strong. Only complaint I ever had was the noise the aluminum subframe made on the bottom during light chop or wavelets, but tubular pipe insulation took care of that. Would strongly recommend it to anyone, especially if capacity is an issue.
