Submitted: 02-02-2008 by jonpayne We bought 2 Blasts 3 years ago. Great for flat water and Class 2 rapids. You need a spray skirt to keep from getting swamped in rapids. Have had it in Class IV rapids...big mistake...these are not whitewater boats. The seat will separate from the bottom of the kayak, welds at contact point break. An epoxy for plastic held on 1 and did not on the other. We have pushed these kayaks way past their limits and had a blast doing it. For the price this is the best beginner boat out there.
