Bought a 2007 Pursuit 100 earlier this month and have taken it out about 5 times at the time of this review. Being a beginner to kayaking, I wanted something inexpensive to make sure I enjoyed the sport enough. At $229.00, it was a great buy and definitely a great starter kayak. I'd agree with many of the reviewers in saying that tracking is not one of the strong points of this boat, but with some extra work, you can manage. Stability is very good and quite spacious for average people with entry and exit into the kayak being fairly easy once you get the hang of it. With a few extra $$$s, you can add a few hooks to allow for extra on-deck storage and a paddle holder with shock cords.
Overall, definitely a great buy for the money, and perfect for beginners and first timers. |
