Beaver blade with T grip handle
Besides being a beautiful paddle to just look at, this is a wonderfully made paddle by Holz Canoe Paddles, Inc. The paddle was a beavertail blade with a T grip and functioned great. The lightweight design had me nervous going into the Boundary Waters but the paddle held up better than I expected. It hardly made a splash entering the water. I allowed my father to use it for a while while I used a conventional paddle he had. Boy was I sorry. It felt like I was trying to move a log through the water. I will forever be a Holz Canoe Paddle user!!! |
