The value of this video is in "selling" sea kayaking. I'm new to kayaking, but not water, so for me this video was awe-inspiring. A newcomer can see what the sport entails, what's required, and what can be expected in terms of "return on investment". A video is no substitute for actual training. The only way to master a skill. is to do it, over and over and over again. Ken Whiting's ability to speak well and clearly, the quality of the photography, the well described and non-confusing explanations of strokes, techniques, etc, makes this video, for me anyways, the best introduction to sea kayaking I could have hoped for, without getting wet. With that said, I can't wait to "decimate" my savings, and get out there! |
