Submitted: 10-27-2006 by DN The Pygmy Osprey is a beautiful boat, both in looks and handling. Finished with bulkheads and hatches, deck straps and lifeline she still only weighs in at 40lbs. It doesn't matter what direction the wind is blowing from, she goes where you point her, and no matter how pointy or sloping the water surface is, she feels as steady as a rock. Maybe not the boat for a tight, windy little channel though, with tracking that's rock solid, and makes leaned turns of more than academic interest soon after first launch. An almost faultless boat otherwise, and a gorgeous finish on the glowing mahogany veneer. |
