Submitted: 10-17-2006 by Mtnd0c Have Pungoed (standard abs 120, 2005 model) for one year. Decent compromise boat for both flat water and CII or less rivers. Plenty of room, stable fishing, and great glide with fairly long keel. Keel can catch river rocks a little more than a flat bottom, but should not be a major problem for an moderately accurate yakker. Turns easier with a lean out on turns which is a little counter-intuitive. You're going to want a skirt, at least a mini, as the bow has a low entry and any waves will give you a wet lap. Wet bag on the bow deck tie down works to deflect water too. On the other had the low bow makes for less windage. The multi adjustable seat is pretty nice compared to anything else out there, and the easily adjustable foot pegs should be standard equipment. If you want just one boat for tamer water, I think you like this one. |
